Alabama and Lsu, with the lines they have in place will always be better at run blocking than pass pro.

This is true with any huge o-line, it's simple physics really. Fire off the ball and block a smaller guy or backpadel and block a faster guy

I watched the game in replay and said the same thing. If they allowed Mett to get hit that many times against N. Texas he will get taken out against a team like Alabama.

They better protect their QB.

You could say the exact same thing for Bama against a team like LSU, your pass protection didnt look spectacular by any means.

I think pass blocking is way more a product of a line working together and knowing each others tendencies than run blocking is. This can only come with more starts as a unit.

Not sure why that response was to me since that wasn't my quote...but I'm not sure what you're getting at. I remember AJ getting hit one time (albeit I was drunk)

No one is going to have perfect pass pro in game one but having your QB get hit repeatedly by a cupcake opponent has to be unsettling. I fully expect the kinks to be worked out for both by november though

Hurst has an ankle injury. FWIW Miles said RSF Vadal 6'6" 340 will see more playing time. Apparently the ankle is worse than he has been letting on. Which is typical for CLM.

This is what I understand as well. We will be fine.
