The word "undefeated" is kind of self validating, don't you think?

When was the last time LSU could use that word at the end of a season? It was 58 years ago, don't you think? Only twice in school history, don't you think?

Enjoy it. You'll only be able to use that word until November 7th. Then order is restored.

Ha. Didn't Chief turn your offer down?

Yep, and LSU turned down his. LSU could have retained him but would not meet his contract demands. I'd say that constitutes "letting him walk."

Unbeaten through 7 games? Uh yeah. That's called 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013 for Bama. Actually, I would know quite well how enjoyable that is.

Why do you believe Bama has had so much success?

Ok? Helps to buy great players and pays for coaches to install a good system.

I don't see what that has to do with this topic.

It doesn't, it does however pass the litmus test for being an LSU fan. They've been cheated all of their lives. Hell, I didn't tell any of them to pull for LSU.

Kevin Steele

It's too early to tell. And LSU's talent on defense doesn't have the depth of earlier years, but I think that will probably change in the next year or two with good recruiting. LSU's main problem on defense, IMO, is lack of depth.

They had the money. But spent it all on a lift kit and wheels for their truck

Treon Harris had his career high in passing yards against a Steele defense at night in Tiger Stadium after not throwing a pass since Week 2.

Give Chavis a few years at A&M to recruit and get his players in and this won't even be a discussion.

Coach O's impact on the LSU DL has been way more impressive than Steeles coaching.

It's a good thing that Grier was out because LSU would've gotten double digit sacks. Treon was running for his life the entire game. The two quarters that LSU had Jalen Mills in the game (2nd and 3rd) LSU's defense played best. With Mills back in the secondary I expect LSU's defense to shore up very quickly.

The problem has been that Steele uses zone coverage more in one game than Chavis would in an entire season. Having played in a man scheme for 2-3 years and adjusting to mix and match coverage is difficult. LSU defenses always shore up towards the end of the year anyway so we haven't seen their full potential.

And again we come back to Grier would've gotten sacked more...

Do you people even watch the games? Grier has better pocket presence and a quicker release, and is pretty mobile...

I have no doubt that LSU would've got to him a few times had they played, but stop posting this BS.
