Even I have to admit that at the time, I thought Tebow was the greatest to ever play the college game, and he is a once in a lifetime figure. He broke through so many barriers including being an underclassman Heisman winner. He had great players around him, but so does everyone else who is considered great.

Tebow did things we never saw before. He willed his team to win games. He made first downs when it was impossible. He made incredible throws in key situations. He ran over linebackers. He was different, special, and one of the greatest players ever.

Now, his pro career is another story. But, you can't minimize what he did in college just because you don't like him or just because he played for those damn Gatas.

This thread only confirms how overrated he is. Too much emphasis on intangibles, and not enough on performance.

AJ McCarron was a bigger winner than him!

Not over-rated. Tebow had one of the most accomplished careers in NCAA D1 history.

No, It's got to be Kyler Murray. He didn't do shite when he was in the SEC and he won the heisman. Way overrated.

How can that be when he won 2 natty's and a Heisman. Manzel on the other hand was overrated for the pro's but was very good in college.

He was overrated, but not all time. But to say he was the greatest is foolish. His ability to pray to god every other breath got him a legion on mindless zealots which helped make his path easy.

Everybody with the ability to think (exclude Florida fans here) will admit that he shouldn't have won the heisman over McFadden. McFadden single handily carried Arkansas.. Tebow was just a long for the ride.

What? You wish Alabama put division titles on their stadium. Only elite programs celebrate division championships.

No Tim Tebow is not over-rated. He was a great college QB. I think if I needed 2 yards I would want him with the ball in his hands

Johnny Davis would be my first choice...but wouldnt be upset with Tebow getting the call

At the time he was playing maybe but since everyone now considers him overrated, how he’s overrated anymore?

He's often credited with winning two national championships, but the reality is Chris Leak was the starter for the first one. He's praised as being the ultimate SEC quarterback, yet in 3 years starting he only won one SEC championship.

Seems like Tebow gets a lot of credit for the year Chris Leak led the Gators just because of name recognition.

This shows a great deal of ignorance. While I think the Gator's D and Percy Harvin were equally responsible for UF's success, Tebow was still a major star. Leak was a game manager at best for that 2006 team but '08 was Tebow's team.
Aggie has no business talking smack about Tebow.
