hard to make chicken salad out of chicken shite.

Players play the game.

Most of the time the team with the best players wins.

However, he also teaches defensive strategy and tactics at a wizard level. The pick 6 Saturday was a prime example of great athletes executing strategy at a high level. Foster blitzed, Anderson caught the pass and ran it back for 6.

If you blitz an average LB, he does not get home. An average LB may not cover well in space. An average LB may not catch the ball.

So in summary, CNS has evolved over the years. He understands that college football is played in space now- X, Y and Z axis. He recruits the best players for his system- Deshaun Davis is a decent LB, but too short to execute what Foster can. I enjoy watching DD play, but Saban would have made him a priority if he was 6'3".

He was an unmitigated failure in the NFL

Link needed.

He has a career record of 15-17, with one winning season and one losing season with a team that was 4-12 the year before he arrived and 1-15 the year after he left. That is far from an unmitigated failure.

As much as I don't care for him he is without a doubt in my mind the greatest college coach ever.

You mean the East team you play every year? So in other words, you really don't follow football.

Could Saban have coached UW to a win over his team this weekend? I say no.

What...you mean just stick him on the sideline for that one game? Of course not. You could have put him on their sideline and me on Bama's, and Bama would have won. Only need to do two things...tell Kiffin to feed Bo, and leave Pruitt alone.

Exactly what all do you think "recruiting" entails? Recruiting includes hiring the best assistants. Recruiting includes having the best S&C program. Recruiting includes having the very best, state of the art facilities, like $150,000 zero gravity treadmills. You think recruiting is just walking into someone's living room?

After saban came to lsu at the turn of the century, lsu has won at least 8 games a year since. Sounds like the GOAT changed LSU into a blue blood.

Yes...if Saban would have stayed at LSU ...I'm thinking we would have at least 3 to 4 more national championships.
