Oregon gave up three turnovers and was in the game till late, while Alabama got two turnovers and couldn't even score a touchdown. D'Anthony Thomas has had time to mature and learn how not to fumble. Oregon should play in NO before Bama.

If they beat Stanford that will make exactly ONE win over a top 25 team, I think.

All hail Oregon!

...and if they win out, that means they had beaten USC.

That's 2 wins over Top 25 teams. 1 more than Alabama has....

Oregon has a better argument than Bama does for a rematch. I don't care how homerific you guys want to be.

Also, what success LSU had on offense against Bama was with speed around the outside / option. THAT is what Oregon does well.

Oregon would argue that LSU's defense is more athletic / faster than Bama's. Bama's D is HUGE and immoveable. But, Oregon would not try to attack them straight on.

Again, I am NOT suggesting Oregon is better. Just puzzling out the arguments that they would proffer.

So I guess you guys are saying Oregon's body of work, in the Pac 12, is better than Bama's in the SEC? So Pac 12 > SEC?

Results on the field say otherwise.

Nevertheless.

Think voters on the west coast are going to use that argument?

Yes. The SEC is top heavy this year.

Go through Oregon's schedule and compare it with Bama's schedule.

I already did, and there are several PAC-10 teams that are better than the SEC's.

Stop being such a homer.

If Stanford wins the Pac 12 they should be ranked about LSU then. No? And LSU is really the #2 team in the country.

What the hell do you think? Is the pac12 harder than SEC?

Enjoy your win and quit whining.

I think every team in the top 2-6 will be arguing for a spot in the BCS title game.

this

If Oregon wins the PAC-12, then that opens it up more for Oklahoma if they beat Okie St.

Not sure if better, but probably just as good. Their only loss is to the same team, and they both pretty much dominated the rest of their schedule (assuming of course they run the table).
An oregon win over Stanford will look better than any win that Bama has, right?
The more I think about it, if Stanford and OK St both lose, then it's either Oregon or Boise who gets the nod. But who knows. It's going to be a crazy ride. Love the BCS. I don't understand why there is so much hate for the system. It is flat out fun and drama filled every week of every season. No other sport has that.
