I'm on the Hugh Freeze bandwagon. With akry and auburn being terrible and the grinders being terrible I only see LSU standing in the way.
They got a while for Bama and TAMU

You realize we'll have one of the top receiving corps in the nation, right? Moncrief, Logan, Sanders, Tredwell, Mirles, and both Moore's. Freeze's offense is going to put the fear of God in this conference for the foreseeable future. Sorry I'm not sorry.

Hootie beat lsu more times at ole miss than mississppi state has in program history.
Hootie had 2 of the best teams Mississippi has had in the last 50 years- and he beat a rebuilding LSU in 2008 and then Miles clock mismanagement gave him another in 2009 with those teams.

When was the last time Ole Miss beat a good LSU team???? 2001?? LSU is 10-3 vs Mississippi since 2000
I'll play it the way State College trash plays it....
We have won 2 out of the last 5 against LSU. What is State College's record against LSU again in that period? Oh yeah....0-5. Check mate bitch.

It would have to be a best case scenario. We will be very solid, but we haven't won that "big game" yet. I think we have a legit shot to beat Vandy, Texas, A&M, Auburn, and LSU. We also have as good if not better chance to lose all those games. I feel confident in saying we will win 7-9 games but no more than that.

why the obsession on State? This is not a State thread moron. What The Ole Miss Rebels do vs LSU has nothing to do with State

If Thorpe can't cover them, who can?

I'm not. Just wait. Freeze will have his whole offense installed, Bo will have a full season under his belt, and shite will get real. Not to mention we'll have the good kickers back. frick Jim Broadway

I'm being patient and think we'll be a contender for the SEC in 2014. I'm counting on 8 wins next season.

I'm anxious to see what Jeff can do with another year under PJ and a full training table. The light clicked on for him and if he can put on another 10lbs, he will be dangerous. Our OL isn't world beaters but it is no longer a liability. We won't be great at every position but we won't be bad at any and damn good at every position besides OL.

his is for sure? don't even see it as a tossup?
No, not 100%...however:
State is 6-1 the last 7 home games vs The Ole Miss Rebels
Mississippi is 6-1 at home the last 7 vs The Mississippi State Bulldogs
And the team playing at home that is heading for a bowl RARELY loses
