No.
He is not.
Maybe, some day, he might earn "good coach."
But, he will never be a great coach.

No. He still doesn't really coach, or at least gameplan. Coordinators do all of that. To his credit though, he managed the game well.

He is a decent coach. He is a devoted coach and he is a coach in learning. A championship coach? Don't know yet.

O has showed at LSU and USC he can take a good team in confusing times and get them ready to play. So he has that. Great coaching is more than that though. Still needs to show he can get a team ready during an entire season without extreme negativity.

To be fair, Neil Brown (triys coach) was a good OC when he was here

O: the jury's still out on his worth as a coach
Gus: a proven bad coach. Probably the most underachieving coach year-by-year in America.

Yes he is

The jury is still out on O being a good coach but we do know that he's better than Goose.

CEO is doing good bc he's letting his coordinators coach. take that for what you will

Jury is still out on O. I'm encouraged by the last 3 quarters of that game bc 27-3 after going down 20 is great no matter who you're playing.
I do feel strongly, however, that Etling remains a liability and it's clear Canada and O don't really trust him. He's got grit and heart and leaves it all out on the field, but damn he makes some really bad decisions and throws.

beating Gus Malzahn and Kevin Steele is not an impressive feat. O is still pretty terrible. No reason LSU shouldn't be 7-0 right now
Maybe? I just get annoyed that we can't even get credit for a gritty win over the tenth-ranked team in the country. Auburn was third in the SEC, but as soon as we beat them, "lol just kidding--they were never any good to begin with, try again!"
We aren't number one or anything, but damn some of you can't give credit where it's due.

Aranda will be an NFL DC before he's ever a HC IMO

Funny how opinions change in less than a week
6-1 for sure! I don't know if we would have beaten State on that night even if we played a perfect game! They played out of their minds and I don't think it would have made a difference either way. We wouldn't have lost by 30, but good chances we still would have lost.

I see this happen with a lot of teams. Team A beats team B handily, and it's "Great, Team B sucks and you should have beat them like that." Or, team A loses to team B, and it's, "Well, you sucked all along and got to this point by beating up on nobodies."
For the record, I did think LSU was at dumpster fire status after Troy and appears to have improved. Auburn, while a good team, was a bit over-hyped at top 10.
Stidham can ball though, that's for sure. I'd give anything for LSU to have a QB like that more than once every 20 years.
