Is Mississippi State one of the hardest Power 5 Jobs for Dan Mullen or the best?

At first glance you have to say to yourself, "Dan Mullen will never win an SEC Championship at Miss State." This is because almost every team in his division perennially has more talent. It's tough when Bama, LSU, and Auburn are always on your schedule and a team like like Texas A&M could become a real giant in the league if they ever got a decent coach. However, on the other hand, State's fanbase realizes this and they don't have unrealistic expectations. All you have to do is average 7-8 wins a year, beat Ole Miss more times than they beat you, and land a bowl like the Gator or Music City and State fans will be happy. Dan Mullen currently makes $4 million a year, and he could stay there for the next 20 years if he wanted. He and his wife are probably treated like royalty in Starkville. As long as his ego doesn't get in the way and he starts expecting to win championships, he should have a great career in Starkville.

He actually makes 4.5. Which is top 15 in the country. Everyone is fighting for 2nd in the West as long as Saban is around.
