I'll go as far to say if the game was competitive then this might not be happening.
If he showed the potential to game plan, strategize, adapt, and/or make adjustments, then we could possibly foresee a future.
Unfortunately, he has one game plan, one that every single coach in the nation and their mother's know, and he has showed zero willingness to change that.
