Understandable. I guess I assumed that LSU was getting criticized for firing a coach who has lost 5 times in a row to a team that LSU considers its top rival during that time. If Bama were in LSU's shoes, the fan base would be no different!!!

I don't know. i don't think Bama has ever been in that exact position. I do know Bama has been heavily criticized much worse for firing some bad HCs with records much worse than Les and no championships to show for it.

Well, Bama has been in a similar position before & I have never seen any problem firing a coach for not meeting expectations. However, after Saban leaves, you will then have the potential to be in the EXACT position.

We have never fired a coach with 100+ victories as well as a national championship under their belt. Not too many programs have. And most that have done so have gone on to face several years of very hard times.
