As a 1st round RB you should start by year two at the latest unless you're injured. Ingram has never shown starter talent. He is a bust already. If he had been a day 2 pick maybe not so much. But to trade up to get such an average player makes him a bust. Maybe this year he does better. But I don't see it.

He is a bust thus far and running out of time to turn it around.

The fit with the Saints is terrible.

Hopefully Mark can find another team that can play to his strengths instead letting of reel off a 5 or 6 yard run and then taking him out.

But yes, both he and Trent are busts as far as the conversation sits today.

This isn't entirely true.

that is one good example, my point is if you can find a few decent backs and grind out 115-150 yards a game you're golden. especially with how pass happy the league is.

I got this out of the Birmingham News a few months back a have been waiting to spring it in a dumb azz.

Eddie Lacy, rookie of the year, Average 4.3 yards per carry.

Mark Ingram's career stats Average 4.3 yards per carry.

Seems he just isn't in the right system.

His YPC is 4.1, and two of his three seasons were below 500 yards and 4.0 YPC.

Ingram's career YPC is 4.1

His YPC got a huge bump when he shredded one of the all-time worst defenses. Besides that he had 1 good game last year.

Slow down, bruh. There are a few gentlemen that would beg to differ.

Misters Gino Torretta, Danny Wuerffel, Chris Weinke, Eric freaking Crouch, and Jason "I didn't even get a free agent tryout" White would like to make their cases.

Some people dont realize that the Heisman is not a predictor of professional success

A disappointment for sure. Not in the same class with other Heisman RBs... He did score a TD last year so he has that going for him. Three years in the league.

Ben Tate was critized by local media because he said he felt he was the better back. Three years in the league he has 1992 YDS to Ingrams 1462.. Tate has 287 Receiving yards to ingrams 143...

Would not call Ingram a bust, just drafted too high for a RB.

The Heisman has been too often awarded in the past decade to the best player on the best team, not the best player in CFB.

Now compare him to Alfred Morris.

6th round draft choice

dude seems like he always starts off the season kind of slow, battles some nagging injury, and then gets better at the end of the season.

I expect the same this year.

rinse and repeat.

I would almost say it does. Win the Heisman, and your career will be shite. The only success stories I can remember from this century are Bush, and Cam.

Different draft year, but even in two years, Morris has 2,888 (4.7 average).. Did he call out Ingram also? Why ask about this guy from Florida Atlantic?
