That they couldn't afford to lose an LSU home game against South Alabama?
Blame Obama
or Katrina
oh, wait, only pussies are affected by hurricanes

This goes to show just how ignorant, insensitive, and naive Florida fans are. You realized Baton Rouge just got wrecked by Floods, riots, etc just a few months ago, right?

poor LSU

Bitched out over scattered thunder storms because let's be honest they may have received a light sprinkle Saturday afternoon

No, we didn't. We still play 1 home game against UF over the next 2 years.
Math can be hard though.

No, not Louisiana, just the State government. Louisiana's economy is holding its own with the rest of the country with tourism, shipping and the ports, seafood, agriculture, and Hollywood South. And even the oil industry is showing signs of rebounding.
This had nothing to do with losing revenue for one home game. Remember LSU was willing to pay for transportation, security, planes, buses, anything - to play the game in Gainesville on Sunday or Monday,
just like Georgia/USC. Miami and FSU had no problem playing either.
And re: your Katrina comment:
LSU rescheduled """""""""""""""TWO"""""""""""""" home games in three weeks - the first, a home game against Arizona State, was moved to Tempe (LSU willingly traveled to Tempe to play) and the second, due to Rita, was moved to a........wait for it......
M O N D A Y night like Florida could have done for the LSU game. By the way, NINETY THREE THOUSAND showed up on that Monday night -
even WITH the triages on campus, people affected by the hurricanes, traffic and logistics problems, etc.
Who's the "pussies" ???

The fact that LSU actually gained nothing in the longterm makes you wonder why Alleva was so worried about losing a home game against a MAC opponent (USM is in the MAC, right? I don't know).
How bad of financial shape is Louisiana in that the AD of the biggest state school has to throw a bitch fit to the conference over losing a meaningless pay-for-play game?
You don't hear Foley complaining about losing the Presbyterian game (or having to push the LSU game off until next year).
