lets wait a while before we crown him king....LSU has had some great players in the past, but it was like reliving the days of herchel walker this past Saturday.....we thought Jeremy Johnson was going to be cam 2, too, but you see how that's working out....let his career play out, but I wouldn't be surprised if he wins the Heisman this year

Leonard Fournette would be the greatest basketball player in Kentucky history if he wanted to be.

Can't tell till the end of his college career. Right now, that honor would probably belong to either Billy Cannon or Tommy Casanova...

He will be.

Before the season, Miles stated Fournette was the most improved player during the offseason, which seemed difficult to believe. I believe it now. He's only getting better.

He's 2 games into his sophomore season. Good Lord. The potential is there but there were a few great players who did it year after year after yr for at least 3 yrs. Cannon & Stovall & Casanova to name only 3. All 3 played both ways during a time when substitution was very limited & all 3 were first team All Americans, one winning the Heisman & one getting screwed out of it & the other was in the running for it. Repeat: to name only 3.

Not yet, obviously.

I'll say this... Jeremy Hill was the best offensive player I have ever seen at LSU (don't remember Kevin Faulk too well, close with Josh Reed). Dude was an absolutely beast.

Hill's 2013 season was better than Fournette's 2014 season, for sure. However, Hill was 15 months older than Fournette was during those respective seasons.

Hill never had a game like Fournette had this past Saturday. And if Fournette continues looking as good as he has in the first two games of this season, he will blow Hill out of the water. And Hill was really freaking good.

It's early, but it appears Fournette could go down as the greatest player in LSU history. At the very least, the best offensive player.
