Yeah he only led the sec in all purpose yards as a true freshman.

So, are you saying that he lived up to his true potential last year? Think about what you are answering and the question that's being asked.

it'll be a week by week spoon full of medicine this year. I may be seeing in purple and gold a tad bit, but I think this offense is right on the cusp of going nuclear

He is up there...but has some work to do to unseat Billy Cannon. Billy Cannon is one of the greatest athletes of all time regardless of sport. Up there with Jim Thorpe, Roger Bannister, Carl Lewis, Bo Jackson, Deion Sanders. He was an incredible freak, the likes of which wasn't seen in the probably 3 decades surrounding his career.

Thanks for your input Mr. LSU historian, but he's still behind (at the absolute minimum)

Y.A. Tittle
Steve Van Buren
Jimmy Taylor
Billy Cannon
Tommy Cassanova
Kevin Mawae

And while he has as exciting an outlook going forward as you can imagine, I'm not sure how you can put him ahead of some of the all time great LSU running backs like Charles Alexander, Dalton Hilliard, or Kevin Faulk just yet.

He's not even as good as Kevin Faulk.

Steve Van Buren and he's a Hall of Famer and made the NFL's 75th Anniversary all time team. He led the nation in points and touchdowns at LSU. I thought Alabama fans were all about history and tradition?

Tommy Casanova is LSU's GOAT and y'all should be ashamed for not recognizing that.

No, I mean for some reason when I think of LSU, I think of that old angry looking President and Jimmy Taylor. But yeah, Steve was a baller.

Dude had a decent season as a freshman and a huge game against a shitty AU team 2 games into his soph season. No way he is ready to be crowned the best player in LSU history with that resume. Get back with us next Christmas and maybe...

We have twice as many first round draft picks arse Ole Piss. If you take that dick out of your mouth, you can stop talking out off your arse.

Adrian Peterson Freshman yards per carry :5.7
Leonard Fournette Freshman yards per carry : 5.5.

One of these had the worst passing attack in their program's history and the other hhad one of the most prolific passing attack in cfb history.

So yes leading the sec in all purpose yards as a true freshman is living up to expectations since it rarely ever happens

He finished 3rd in the enitre country in all purpose yards per game.

It's possible....but LSU has had quite few really good players, so it is difficult to say. At thie point.......after his career is done and he is in the NFL we can say for sure.

Billy Canon
Tommy Casanova

I would say Fournette at THIS POINT is probably the greatest running back.

I would say Cecil the Diesel is the best that I've seen from LSU, if you don't factor in longevity, among other things.
