Go look at the top 50 defenses. Only one Texas team in the top 50 and that coach is about to go somewhere where A&M can't get him.
It's kinda hopeless so why throw good money after bad. Our state only produces soft players.
It is easier and cheaper to learn to like eight wins like an Ole Miss fan.

What if Pruitt came calling?
If you look at Chavis's successful defenses in the last, they weren't exactly the "biggest, baddest, toughest" group of guys. Maybe a DC like Pruitt would bring a better mentality.

Nah, I don't think any coach short of Nick Saban can make a defense full of soft Texas players become not soft in the limited time they have with them in college.
It is what it and it could be worse (look at A&M 2000-2012). No use wasting money hoping for better.
We just need to stop caring come November and shift to basketball as soon as that season starts like U.K. fans do. At least we have some fun early in the season. Next year I will enjoy September more.

I don't know why you need us for fun. LSU just had what is for us (or a Arky or a Ole Miss or a MSU) an upcycle year (8 wins) and y'all are still getting a new and better head coach.

We tried to warn Texsix A&M. No recruiting and defense only works with great DL.
