just google for the origin of Toomer's Corner. It isn't weird from the original transition. Basically the store would throw ticker tapes over the power line at the corner if Auburn won the game in the days before TV and radio. The first time that the corner was actually rolled is a different story altogether though. I have read that it started in the 80s and have heard that it started in the 60s. A lot of debate on when it actually moved to tp.
