As much as I'd enjoy ragging on McCarron, bench press stats can be pretty useless, especially at QB. In fact, at QB they are completely worthless for 95% of players. Peyton Manning probably has some terrible workout numbers, but no one benching 300+ is going to come close to him as far as quarterbacking. Looking at Arron Rogers, I'm not sure he even lifts with his upper body.

Not saying that McCarron is even close to those two, as he will never be, but... you know.

I worked out with John Parker Wilson in the spring after his senior year of football.

He was repping with 165 5 times on bench press.

Quarterbacks in high school don't have to be beasts.
