We were so lucky to run for 300 yards on Bama, 10202874774 on Mizzou and win the SEC. People remember the luck pass against UGA but forget they were getting their dicks buried in the dirt prior to that. People remember kick 6 but forget the 4 defensive stands prior to that as well as the t.o that Gus called to set the return up.
You can't have it both ways, chump. Auburn beat Georgia on an undebateably lucky play, and you reference how they were "getting their dicks buried in the dirt prior to that." Well, that's pretty much what Alabama was doing to Auburn before kick-six. So the tone of the game before the end either matters or it doesn't, but one way or the other you're just being a homer if you won't admit that Auburn lucked out.

They will be about the same as last year without the unprecedented string of luck: 7 or 8 wins.

The most pathetic is Bama fans trying to act like a kick return should count as luck.

No, it's not consensus Auburn's year.
2008-09 Alabama is the only team in SEC that's ever repeated as Western division champions. In both years the next-strongest Western team by record went 9-4 (2008 Ole Miss, 2009 LSU). The golden number appears to be 10 wins; once you get at least one challenger with 10 wins (and ideally 2+), repeating just doesn't happen. In 2013, two teams bagged 10+ wins -- Alabama and LSU.
I think 2013 Auburn was in the same tier as Alabama and LSU and got the good breaks that year. They could have been a 10-3 team like LSU was; they were a 2-loss team like Alabama. The good breaks make the difference. I think it's silly to assume they'll get the same breaks as before.
The main thing pointing to them right now is uncertainty with LSU and Alabama, but I don't see any reason why they can't be in the hunt either.
I think it comes down to who gets the good breaks among LSU, Alabama and Auburn.

I wouldn't count out TAMU. Their defense should b much better. Or OM & MSU. The only team I'd be shocked to win the West this year is Arkansas.
Talent wise:
1) Bama
2) LSU
T3) TAMU / Auburn
T5) OM / MSU
7) Arkansas

Who wouldn't rank the most talented teams in the SEC 1) Bama and 2) LSU?

Pretty good point actually. Although there are a couple of differences. The Bama game was a really good close game and then Bama hit a 99 yard super-improbable pass that looked like it might have put it out of reach. Auburn was racking up 300 yards rushing...they weren't getting their dicks knocked in the dirt...but yeah, I get your point. The first 3 1/2 quarters of the Au/UGA game, it was obvious at every snap of the ball that Auburn was the better team...I don't know if it was complacency, or just really good leadership and belief on UGA's part that kept them believing they could win, but the game was still close enough and they put together some magic. They really were getting their asses kicked...Auburn just wasn't putting the nail in the coffin (redzone issues if I recall).
The other difference is that Auburn really needed a miracle to win. They should have lost to UGA. I think most objective fans believe that had the Iron Bowl gone to OT, Auburn would have won. Auburn had all of the momentum, and a senior kicker. Bama had lost all momentum and had one ruined kicker and a freshman. Auburn 80+% would have won the iron bowl w/o the kick six.
