UAB's stadium is in the hood.

Also, unrelated, Bama's board members have UAB by the balls

I liked most everything at your stadium when we came in 2011 except the walk to the stadium…

There are shuttles that leave from 2 different places on campus (the Horseshoe and the Coliseum), it costs $3 (free for students) for a round-trip. Do that next time you're here for a game.

Those two are completely related. UAB's stadium would be on-campus if not for the UABOT. UAB would still have shite-tastic attendance for home games, but it would probably double at the very least.

Yes but have to give props for what they have been doing around the stadium. I would imagine with a couple of more years out of Spurrier that the improvements will continue in and around the stadium. They have really made the very best out of the situation and their students and fans have no problem with it.

Plus the University is close to owning everything between the campus and the stadium, so it will all be campus one day.

By the start of 2015 the stadium surroundings will be as scenic and beautiful as any in the country hopefully. We're working on it - it's been a long time coming.

His ban thread was removed from the help board. Could be some admins supporting this blatant retardation.

Unfortunately it would appear so.

#disappointed

If the guy came up with a similarly disparaging user name for LSU and trolled their fans .... he'd be gone inside of an hour IMHO.

Wait, perhaps they've already banned him and that:s why they removed the thread? Am I dreaming?

That was the joke. I would have definitely gone to games @ UAB if the stadium was in a better location.
