Fournette's on downs 1-3 in the NFL...
We are talking about The RB position.
The RB position in the NFL for most teams is a very different thing than it used to be.

Fournette is very good running the ball if he gets up to speed and he's hard to bring down.

Oddly enough the most impressive run I've seen him have was a 5 yard loss to Bama. It took 9 guys to get him on the ground and he came a hair away from breaking the last tackle and going 90 yards for a TD.

But in the NFL having a back you can split out who isn't just good, but great at catching passes is more valuable. McCaffrey might be the best back at doing that who has come out on the last decade.

Don't take this as Fournette not being a 1st round talent, he is. He just doesn't bring as much to the table for me.

I'd be pissed if Ed Orgeron beat my team 42-7 in his first game coaching too.

Yes......
How about....
R. Foster is a dumb arse retard POS and is dropping like a rock...
This might trigger some alabama fans.
The difference is, Leonard Fournette is a very good man.
I'll repeat....LF7 is a very good man....
Not to mention Jamal Adams...another top 10 pick....
I'm very proud of these Tigers!

I agree....
But McCaffery is a better slot WR....I get it...
Who is better at actually running the football...
More versatile is overused....
McCaffery is not a three down back in the NFL ....
For example....
Reggie Bush....he wasn't a three down back for USC nor was he a three down back for the Saints...
So he does punt returns and comes on on passing downs....
You still need a RB that can run the football on every down...
I agree with you...and I love McCaffery for the Saints...
McCaffery will be a superstar on the right team!

Taking a RB in the first round is stupid in today's modern NFL.

The NFL has pretty much become a passing league and RB's are now utility players.

It's very sad IMO and one reason I still prefer the college game.

The Saint aren't going to draft a RB in the first round. That would be really dumb of them if they did.

I agree with this....there are plenty of big bruising backs that can handle 25 to 30 touches a game and a few speedsters with the ability to take it to the house at any time. Very rarely does a player come along with the ability to do both.
