IMO yes.
39 tfls
27 sacks
45 qb hurries

I cant recall anything close to that. How the frick did he finish 10th in Heisman voting? I know Barry Sanders went HAM that year(4 games of over 300 yards rushing and 1 other game of 293 rushing) but DT finishing 10th is one of the biggest Heisman snubs ever.

Why does this even matter? Most posters weren't even alive then.

How weird of me to discuss past sec players on a sec message board.

No, that season was a product of facing inferior competition.

Woodson's season in 1997 was much more impressive.

I can still remember his game against PSU when I was a mere child when he had several QB' rushes and several sacks.

He was so good he won games for Alabama on his play alone. One of the best ever.

His numbers are not going to be records since not all of the stats were used back then.

As an all around producing player I would agree.

Either him or Charles Woodson in 1997.

His NFL numbers prove you wrong.

That's because he was a CB, PR, KR and WR that season.

I'm sure most posters were not born yet. For the lack of insight and historical knowledge a lot of posters have around here, it would make sense most are in college, high school, or just out of college.

You can usually tell when a person is older since they can speak with historical context.

A better thread might be:

"Why do so many Hog posters suck a-hole?"

Player A:
33 punt ret att
283 yards
1 td

44 tackles
5 ints
9 pbu
5tfl

Player B:
27 punt ret att
421 yards
2 tds

76 tackles
2 sacks
2 ints
11 pbu
8tfl

Charles Woodson 97 stats and TM7 2011 stats. Charles Woodson's stats werent mind blowing. TM7's stats are better. In 1997 CWoodson didnt return kick offs. He did have 283 yards receiving.

that dude would line up at any of the LB spots and just get to the ball. and he was great at knocking the ball out once he got to it. he had a ridiculous amount of FFs in his short time in the league. if you watch some of his old highlights a lot of the QBs are holding the ball with one hand. they soon learned you cant do that when DT is on the field.

Any DC worth his salt would take a DT over a CW.

Without a doubt. I just posted Tyrann Mathieu's 2011 stats that were better than CW's 97 stats. DT's 88 stats are video game stats.

Stats don't tell the entire story. Nobody wanted to pass to CW since he was that good.
