Even if they finish 4-8 ,there's no way they fire him after he's taken them to 3 straight bowls..
You mean like what y'all did to cutcliffe? And I wouldn't be so quick to judge. Your current coach hasn't done any more than Mullen did his first couple years in Starkville

Awww shite you done done it now. When Mullen starts trying to fight fans in the stands that call him on his play calling then, and only then, has he matched Freeze's doichebaggery

My prediction for Dan Mullen is this: He finishes off his feast of cupcakes (4-0), and beats Kentucky and Arkansas to get to 6-6 on the year.
First off, we played OSU to start the season so we don't have a 4-0 Cupcake schedule to finish off. At this point I figured you don't have a clued what you're talking about but kept reading for a laugh or two.

Thunder Dan beats some hapless team in Birmingham or Shreveport, gets to 7-6, and is viewed as keeping things together during a 'down season.'
Will probably happen, not far from true.

Honestly, I think Kirby Smart would be a fantastic hire for Mississippi State.
So that Alabama fans can claim any success we have in the future is because of them.
NO Thanks, I'll pass.

He already had what was the least attractive position in this division, and it didn't seem to bother him.

You didn't pass with Sylvester Croom, unless the plan was to embarrass him with a racially motivated adverse employment action.

They're stuck with that douchebag for another year and I find it hilarious.
Clearly Mullen has rustled some jimmies winning 3 out of 4, so I wouldn't say it is a complete loss.

If someone put a gun to my head and said predict mullen's career at state from here, I'd say he goes 5-7 this year, has a pretty decent year next year and moves on, whether it's laterally or not.

We all see how well that worked out.

Is it 3 out of 4, or is it better said that he is on a one game losing streak?

Didn't Mullen win 9 + a bowl game his 2nd year?
I doubt Freeze does that, so yeah the ole miss fans need to pump the brakes.
Having said that, both teams suck and will be perennial SEC doormats.

Jackie Sherrill was more successful than Dan Mullen has been. Mullen's overall winning percentage may be better, but the teams sherrill fielded in the late 90s were better than anything Mullen has had ever.
you could argue that for his late 90s teams sure.
but you can't compare his entire career at State with Mullen. The first 5 years are the only way to do a fair comparison.

We shall see after this year. Right now either is acceptable. If its 4 out of 5 or losing 2 in a row, there is no other way to state it.

MSU has 5 Seniors on their two deep, Offense and Defense combined. He's going no where.

Yeah I would think Franklin is the most likely to be gone. He has to be jumping ship.
I say Mullens' job depends on the Ole Miss game.

This. Combine this with the schedule we have next year. Watch out.

I just kind of feel like Franklin is going to jump ship and take something even if it's not a move up. Vandy does not seem like a good place to be right now.
