You are right. I chose companies with Aggie CEOs. Saudi Aramco's CEO was forced out as the current Royal family is positioning itself for succession.

103 Halliburton Co. $29.40 3.2%
131 NationalOilwell Varco $22.87 14.1%
132 Baker Hughes $22.36 4.7%
179 Apache Corp. $16.05 -6.0%
188 Marathon Oil Corp $15.32 -5.6%
202 Anadarko Petroleum Corp. $14.58 8.7%
203 EOG Resources $14.49 24.0%
206 Kinder Morgan $14.07 37.9%

Walmart is the biggest company on the planet. Based on revenue, it is roughly equivalent to 10 FedExes.
Generally speaking, basing on revenue is a bit misleading since profit ultimately matters more, but fear not, Wal-Mart still is in the top 10 in profit as well I believe (8th-ish?) Pretty sure FedEx isn't touching the same stratosphere there.

Kentucky has Lexmark (even though those bastards just sold put to the Chinese, they could sponsor something). Or any big distillery.

Yeah, Khalid al Falih became the energy minister for the whole country. It was a promotion. He's in tight with Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is going to take over the House of Saud when the current king dies or abdicates. So we could be sponsored by Saudi Arabia.

Not much to the university lately, and they rarely do anything for sports. That's more Tyson, Lindsey, Jones, etc.
There's the Walton Family Foundation and the Walmart Foundation. They're separate entities. Lately they've both been focused on building community projects locally, which is a big part of why NWA is such a good place to live. Trails, parks, museums, hospitals, cultural amenities...
The Waltons also send millions to the Mississippi Delta for charter schools and education in general. The Waltons do more for the poor Mississippi Delta kids than the Mississippi legislature does.

Fed Ex already tried this once and it failed. They would have to almost completely cover Memphis's part of the TV money to make it worth it, because ESPN isn't giving the Big 12 more money for Cincy and Memphis. That is why Big 12 expansion probably won't happen, Boren is behind the curve.

Might as well change the name from Big 12 to FedEx Conference. Didn't the Grizzles try to become the Memphis Express but the NBA vetoed it.

Phillips 66 is already a huge Big 12 sponsor. Every freaking tournament is the "Phillips 66 Big XII whatever"

Fed-Ex to offer $1 Billion for long term conference championship sponsorship and $500M to improve all Memphis facilities
