The Miles to Orgeron transition is being credited with an offensive revival at LSU, however let's examine that idea objectively...

Under Miles this season, LSU played three Power 5 teams: Wisconsin, Auburn, Mississippi State. Those teams rank 12th, 30th and 36th respectively in total defense. They rank 6th, 18th and 26th in defensive efficiency. Wisconsin and Auburn are both in the top 10 in scoring defense.

Under Orgeron, LSU has played 2 Power 5 teams: Mizzu and Ole Miss. They rank 99th and 103rd in total defense respectively, 86th and 81st in defensive efficiency and 60th and 87th in scoring defense. Missouri is 89th if you only count FBS opponents.

LSU's offensive efficiency, factoring in the strength of opposing defenses, has only improved six spots nationally under Orgeron.

I assert that the "change" is simply a product of the defenses being played.

This, combined with the fact he's one of them, gets him hired IMO

He did the same thing at USC when he took over.

I think he actually does a good job coaching and letting his assistants do their jobs. Just my opinion.

LSU has only 1 victory over a team that's not at the bottom of their conference, that's Jacksonville State

No shite?

That's what makes it so funny.

I mean no one has ever gotten rich overestimating that fanbase, but still I'm just kind of shocked about what they have convinced themselves, considering what led us here

Sarge, your hatred for LSU is hilarious and embarrassing. But carry on sir, you pitiful fool.

The numbers don't lie

LSU fans are like the people who say we didn't land on the moon and deny evolution

Correct... LSU's offense has gotten better.

Considering everyone and their grandma has been saying since eternity "if LSU just had some offense they'd be unstoppable."

Well, as you very eloquently pointed out with statistics to back it up ... LSU's offense has gotten better.

We goin to da ship!
