So the entire SEC West minus Ole Miss, the #2 East team in Georgia, and Wisconsin is not impressive?

I may be wrong, I looked up yalls pass efficiency defense and y'all are good. I also believe that you haven't faced too many quality QBs. That being said, I don't feel like going game by game to compare. So I'll let you win that one.

...that's our schedule. So can you just admit you pulled that stat out of your arse?
OSU, UGA, FSU (x2), ND, VT (x2), Oklahoma, Auburn (x2), LSU. I just named 11 off the top of my head.

Idiot - there's a tab in teh upper left with every team you've played and their ranking. Clemson is 8 and 16 against ranked teams since 2008. Fool.

Well I just named off a bit more than 8, so I have no idea what you're talking about. Fool.

Most of those teams have GREAT defenses. The Big 12 has NO defense.

LOL!!!!

No you have no offenses. That's what the real story is, cochise.

The SEC has never had "great defenses". The top 2 to 3 teams do and the rest of the conference's "defense" reputation mystique is just plain horseshite predicated on Alabama, LSU, or Florida (in the past) and that's it.

Haha I know y'all have. I'm just addressing a completely fictitious statistic by a guy who is clearly upset with Clemson. Then he links to our schedule and vaguely describes a tab that gives our record vs ranked since 2008 (oddly specific and Bowden also coached in 2008). I have personally attended more than 8 wins vs ranked opponents under Dabo. I haven't found our official current record but he had 8 after 2013. I don't feel like manually tallying them to date, nor do I need to.

And the highest ranked defense OU faced (Baylor) is 44th in the nation. You guys gave up 38 to Tulsa

I think Sooner is just referring to what I was talking about earlier vs good offenses. I just didn't want to look up the stats, I appreciate that he did though. Nice work. Haha.

True. And the highest ranked offense you played you gave up 43 to, and you lost. See how this works?

Highest ranked defense we played was Tennessee, not Baylor.

Total defense rankings for Oklahoma opponents to date

Akron- #28
Tennessee- #54
Baylor- #72
West Virginia- #91
Texas- #93
Kansas State- #109
Iowa State- #115
Tulsa- #124
Texas Tech- #126
Kansas- #128

Oklahoma has played one team with a defense ranked inside the top 50 and that is a team from the MAC. Tennessee's the only other team they faced that had a defense inside the top 70 and Oklahoma got shut down for most of the game until Tennessee had their weekly 4th quarter meltdown. Seven of their ten opponents have a total defense ranking 90 or below. By comparison's sake, South Carolina's defense is ranked 90th in the country. 70% of Oklahoma's opponents has a worse defense than a South Carolina team that gave up 52 points to Georgia, 45 points to LSU and 28 points to Texas A&M. No wonder Baker Mayfield looks like a Heisman Trophy candidate after playing that murderous row of teams.

Right. But I'm not on here saying we have the best offense in the country and we could beat "ANY defense" based upon the shite defenses we've played thus far. Alabama fans are making such claims when they haven't faced but one offense worth a damn whom they lost too.

You don't get to use stats to point out OU opponents defense rankings, and then turn around and say Alabama's opponent offense rankings don't matter cuz "SEC defense n shite". That won't fly and it's moronic. If SEC defenses NCAA ratings matter, so do their abysmal offensive ratings. If SEC poor offense ratings are caused by great defenses, BIG XII defense ratings are caused by great offenses.
You don't get to say "we play defense" while ignoring your piss poor offense ratings and talk shite to the BIG XII who has 5 out of the top 10 scoring offenses as "not playing defense". Facts are facts.

Can I just point out that Clemson is top 25 in nearly every offensive and defensive category? We're pretty well rounded and I feel like it may address the original question asked.
