You must be pretty intelligent if you already know next year's record

You are a broken record with this line. I don't think you really know what words like "collosal" or "epic" actually mean

collossal

Yeah, that was the first word that caught my eye. Thought he was listing off synonyms for his username.

There's a funny thing about football fans. I've noticed that most believe the phrase suspended "indefinitely" means forever. Popular culture would also lead one to think that "decimated" is total destruction... when reducing something by 1/10 really isn't so bad.

Chip Kelly might be a better coach than Nick Saban at some sports. In my opinion, football isn't one of them.

Competing on a (relatively) level playing field with your opponents will always be a more difficult and greater accomplishment than playing with a stacked deck. You wouldn't call a poker player great if he was dealt 3 aces every hand.

Kelly is better, no doubt.

The NFL has much more parity than college football. The best coaches in football reside in the NFL.

College football is for coaches that are really good, but are not elite.

Pete Carroll is FAR better than saban as well.

This. Saban in a level playing field = under .500 record

But dealing yourself aces is not part of the skill. We don't care if it is because he is a great recruiter, a great developer of talent, or a great gameday decision maker. Saban is a legendary coach because his team wins, regardless of which area of the game he excels.

I'd concede that Chip Kelly is a much better coach than Butch Jones.

Whatever, how many MAC championships does Kelly have?

Tennessee seems to suck against both coaches so it's really hard to judge. Then again, to be fair, Tennessee is hardly a team worth measuring your success against.

I'll agree with this but I would love to see what CK could do at a school like LSU.

Saban sucks because he's an elite recruiter and hires elite recruiters.

Legendary is a stretch. And you are right, he wins, as long as the program he resides at is miles ahead of its competition. He was mediocre at Michigan State prior to that and he flopped in the NFL. Until he wins in the NFL or wins at a school with little prior football success he is a second tier head coach behind those who have.
