Yep, most coaches have been.

Sometimes teams realize they may have hit their ceiling with a certain coach. George Karl was let go after winning COY, Lionel Hollins after reaching the WCF's. He had a ton of offers once he was forced out of Dallas.

Because he they lost a few playoff series they shouldn't have. They also won a few they shouldn't have. I understand it, and they got Rick Carlisle who is fantastic so it worked out for them, but he still won a bunch of games and had a few solid playoff runs. And, on top of that, Alabama hired not, not the Hawks. So I'm not overly concerned at his lack of being able to beat a red-hot Warriors team under Nellie in 7 games.

Like I said, he would be the coach of the Hawks now if the penny pinching management group hadn't yanked an agreement to hire Larry Drew in-house for pennies.

I'm not complaining because that all led to Bud, but he would have been the coach in Atlanta and we'd be a pretty decent club. He's a regular ole NBA coach. There are a lot of them. He just also happens to have a unique style and personality that most NBA coaches don't that sets up well for college. We'll see if it works.

The Mavs changed GM's during his tenure and like what usually happens in those situations as soon as the GM gets the chance he fires the coach he didn't hire.

I witnessed the exact same thing happen here in Memphis after our best season in franchise history.

And now Hollins is rotting in, of all places, Brooklyn.

With a better roster than Avery Johnson had, but was fired for not having them as a top 5 team in the league. Funny how that works.

Much better and much more cohesive. They aren't a random group of 5 guys thrown together at the last minute, nor are they are group of guys put together as cheaply as possible so the organization will have a chance to sign LeBron.

Deron Williams not realizing Utah's system made him super overrated basically cost AJ his job.

The same Deron Williams that figuratively slit Jerry Sloan's neck before he did the same to AJ.

I think we'd both agree this hire could flop, but there is some nice upside potential and it will bring super energy to the program. I know that most here "hate the NBA" and haven't watched it, but how is that such a hard opinion to understand and agree with? I just don't understand why people are so stupid sometimes.

Oh well.

Isn't that Tennessee's line for this offseason?

Truth and unlike the poster you're responding to tFear is tongue-in-cheek rather than deadly serious.
