I've been all over both states, they both have their upsides and downsides, pretty equal.

Northeast Arkansas is a nice area. It doesn't suffer as much as the corruption of the small towns in Southeast Arkansas

I rather enjoy Seark. One thing I noticed when I lived NWArk, there aren’t any Arkansans. No one is from there

I love Arkansas. Some really good towns, and some great places to get away from people. I love duck hunting in Arkansas County, and I like watching the ponies in Hot Springs.

Little Rock gets shite on, but for a medium sized city in the South, it could be a helluva lot worse. It's in the hills, has a nice riverfront, and is still growing.

If by this you mean we’re the largest concentration of welfare states, I agree

Why do the women wear the pants in Georgia and why do the men act so feminine?

I don't live in both areas but my parents are from the Helena which is the most corrupt town in Arkansas. I have realitives that live in Paragould and the areas are night and day.

The city council of Helena is the highest paid in the state. Why? Because they vote themselves raises while the city is struggling getting clean water to the residents.

I’ve lived in both states. Northwest Arkansas is a great place to live. Huntsville isn’t bad. Alabama has a nice little stretch of beach.

For the most part, both states are full of uneducated, dumb people that have no interest in bettering themselves, and most of the cities and towns are absolute dumps. That description also applies to most of Oklahoma (where I currently live), much of Texas, all of Louisiana, nearly all of Mississippi, much of Tennessee, much of Kentucky (east Kentucky may be worse than sub-Sahara Africa), much of South Carolina, most of Georgia (where I’m building a house), and some of Florida. Even though I was born and prefer to live in the South, the SEC states are generally shitty places to raise a family. But hey, taxes are low, bass are big, food is the best in the world, and the weather is usually nice, so there’s that.

Northwest Arkansas is great. Coastal Alabama and North Alabama are great. Depends on what you’re looking for.

Each state has its depressed areas, it’s easy to see where the jobs and money are.

The kids who leave these areas to go to college don’t return anymore.

When my son left for school I knew he wasn’t moving back and I’m glad because he’s doing well.

Birmingham is better than Little Rock by a wide margin and Alabama has beaches and mountains.

That applies to any state if you’re poor. It sounds like you’re poor and live in pathetic zip codes.

The South economically, climatically, politically, scholastically, culturally, etc. > better than any single region in the country

You would live in a shitty zip code regardless of the state.

Fun Fact - Arkansas is the largest producer of rice in the United States. Would have though Louisiana would own that title. Nope - Arkansas.

And a weird amount of dry counties - which can be annoying on road trips.

I would disagree. Birmingham has more restaurants and things to do, but Little Rock is cleaner and easier to get around. Birmingham traffic is awful.
