whats funny is I have seen his weight between 215 and 247, sure would like to know his tru weight. 215 way to light, 247 is good because with his build he can and will put on 20 to 25 lbs

Key can play for sure, I would be more worried about getting him in school.

Also wonder how he will act not that the recruiting attention is off of him and nobody GAF about him unless he does something on the field. Dude loves the spotlight.

We dont have anyone near Garrett's talent at DE. He will be a top 5 pick most likely.

No he is not like Garrett, He will not get pancaked every down.

And all those sacks were against the B Team schools.

Football experts.

No title since 1 9 3 9.

Ranked 12 in recruiting. This is a success.

My Honest, non butthurt opinion as a fan of SC, is that Key projects better as a 3-4 OLB than a 4-3 DE (and if he has ANY aspirations of playing in the NFL, that's where he's going to play 3-4 OLB). His honest weight is likely between 225-230 lbs. That's a little on the small side for a SEC 4-3 DE (which in my mind is optimal between 250-270 lbs.) At 230 Key will be giving up close to 100 lbs to most SEC LT's. Translation: He's going to get pushed around. I think the question there is, how good is he at moving latterly, backwards and covering receivers as opposed to just putting he head down and moving forward towards the QB/RB.

Yes, the kid has a helluva first step, but realistically he needs at least 1 and likely 2 years in an SEC S&C program to be able to go heads up with the quality tackles he's going to be facing week in and week out in the SEC. SC was forced to play with undersized DE's this year and look how that worked out. Personally, I didn't mind missing on Key because I think Blackshear has much more upside and the prototypical size/speed for a top caliber SEC DE.

One of these things is not like the other....

Key

Blackshear

Garrett

We have Moffit as the S&C Coach who is the best in the nation, he will get Key ready.

And we don't have Chavis to mess this up.

Derek Barnett had 20.5 TFLs. Garrett had 14.

Also in SEC play Barnett had 10 sacks to Garrett's 3.

How many sacks did he have during SEC play?

More than any player on the LSU roster.

8 of his 11 sacks came against the likes of Lamar, Rice, and ULM. Myles Garrett's "record" is a joke and everybody knows it.

Played in the SEC Calcutta division, invalid comparison.
