neutral site games have ran their course. time to get back to home-n-home. whats the point of having great stadiums and fans if the only people that get to see them are the same ones that see them every other year or so?

I don't like them at all. As a fan, I enjoy seeing the different college venues and learning about each team's history and game day events and culture. Pro stadiums look and feel pretty lifeless in comparison to the various college stadiums. You also don't get the real college experience at a neutral site -- the bands can of course travel but all the game day traditions that various college fans enjoy can't.
Of course, there are exceptions for special games and such but in general the whole neutral site thing has become a really bad trend. Hell they've grown to the point where even your Kickoff Classic type games that once carried some weight as feature games don't feel all that significant or important.

I am glad that LSU is playing Wisconsin next year in Green Bay. The games are good match ups and if we can't have great home and home games then I am happy with these games.

I don't think the neutral site games are going anywhere. $$$$$ rule now.

Yes I hate them, with one exception and that is a two game series with a non traditional opponent played somewhere truly neutral ie: A&M and Mich at Arrowhead or LSU and USC at Soldier Field otherwise they need to go away.

Yeah, I bet both Hog fans and Aggies will be tired of Jerry's world by the end of these 10 years.

So Texas and Oklahoma are women?
Seems the RRR is not played in Austin or Norman.

I'm a bit old fashioned and like the good old home-and-home series that schools used to play. I don't like the Saban-style home-and-neutral series that you reference above.
It's interesting to see all the LSU fans on this thread who like the AWAY-and-neutral series...and give up an extra home game for the neutral game instead.

I think it depends on the matchup. Bama/USC next year ought to generate excitement. Wisconsin was meh.

The only thing that I like about it is being indoors in early September. Damn it's hot this time of year.

The commercialization of college football.

For sure tired of them and the atmosphere is never as good as a true home game

I like them, its fun to go visit a different stadium and all. Plus indoor stadiums > outdoor stadiums in the south in early September

Love these games. Teams from different regions

I would prefer home and home scheduling. I like the idea of storied programs fighting it out on each other's fields. Michigan and UF as a home and home would be a lot more fun than Jerry World, IMO.

this, this is exactly why i hate them. neutral site games has allowed bama to escape a home-n-home with any power 5 conference team. the great fans of the crimson tide get to see ulm, chattanooga, ga st. they dont even get the chance to see troy, sheesh. yes the penn st, fl st series was scheduled prior to saban arriving and none since. sad really. sad for the fans the players and college football. after all, why on earth would you schedule a h-n-h with stanford, michigan, texas, or any power 5 team when you can treat your die-hard oyal fans to an endless supply of ga st, college of charleston, chattanooga, wofford, devry institute, phoenix university, northeast al st jr college every year. its not like the fans will ever get tired of it and not show up. of course if that were to happen it just might get their attention, oh well, wishful thinking i guess.
