Now that I think about it, it was #1 Texas beating #2 Arkansas 15-14 on 12/6/69. Nixon was there to basically declare the winner national champion.

No. For two reasons....

1. Both teams will drop a game before the matchup
2. Remember that whole SEC West is the best argument....yeah, it’s overrated as hell, so the national media will look elsewhere to fill up there news feeds

Please tell me which of these you are honestly picking to take us down? Don't get me wrong, UK is a solid team, but saying they are good and picking them to win are two vastly different things.

Then your friend is an idiot. Last year's Iron Bowl was bigger than any game between LSU and Bama.

But to answer your question, if we're both somehow undefeated, I'd say it would certainly be close, but save for Georgia beating one of us in the SEC Championship, it would be all but determined that we'd both go to the playoffs regardless of who wins, so that may downplay it some.

It's just a really weak troll by a jealous fan of an inferior team to MSU.

State plays the next three weeks:

Bye
@Kentucky
Arkansas

Could we drop one of those? Sure... but I wouldn't bet that we do.

My team lost that game and I still enjoyed watching it. There was so much talent on that damn field.

it would be from point of a #1 vs #2 big rivalry game but these 2 teams arnt nearly as good as either 2011 LSU or Bama. Plus neither of these teams will produce as much NFL talent that came from that LSU/Bama game. So from that view, no it wouldnt be as big.

This isn't really accurate. When you look at it on paper, state and OM have a shite load of NFL talent right now. I count 7 shoe in first rounders in Jones, Nkemdiche, McKinney, Connor, Smith, Tunsil, and Treadwell. Then you have Dak, Robinson, Derunnya, Jameon, Pruitt, etc... that will go 2nd-4th and could jump to first round over the next few years. I can't point out a single player on either team that I can for sure say won't be in the league.

Its not going to come close to Bama vs Lsu 2011

Ware ,ford, hill, blue,Landry, randle beckham jr, and shep and that's just lsu's rbs and wrs. Again, the talent from that 2011 lsu bama game dwarfs what ole miss and miss st. Will produce

Just 2011 lsu had more nfl talent than both miss st and ole miss combined this year. 9 of 11 starters on 2011 lsu defense was drafted.

Alabama schools have been helping prevent it for decades now. It's time you had your one good year.

The NFL talent on the field for 9-6 was unreal. The only team who could beat the other were these teams. LSU blew everyone else out on the schedule that year and Bama did likewise. Pure talent

this is a fact.

I will no doubt be flipping cars (people inside or not) and proceed to light them on fire in the event of an Egg Bowl win or loss. I expect those in Starkganistan to do the same.
