Everybody will remember the website.

It will be about as significant as Anthony Davis three pointer last year that propelled them into the playoffs. While simultaneously reseeding the entire Wester Conference playoff bracket.

In ten years it will be a trivia question.

Arkansas lost 5 games in the regular season. Nothing the 2015 Pigs have done is of any significance.

I still remember the Iowa State / Oklahoma State game vividly

I do as well. Watched the winning play on a friend's iPhone via the ESPN Go app.

It doesn't get anymore Bama than this but we were at an IHOP in T-Town when we watched Iowa State score. The whole restaurant went nuts.

Yeah saying it is more significant than kick 6 is pretty dumb.

Kick6 was a last play of the season play that single handedly got Auburn to the SEC championship. Giving Alabama their only conference loss.

4 and 25 didn't even score., and Ole Miss had to lose another SEC game for it to matter.

I would argue the play actually hurts Bama. Even winning in Atlanta Ole Miss likely had no shot of making the playoffs.

Bama would be a playoff lock without going to Atlanta but now if they somehow lose to UF they would be out of the playoffs

No, not really. The only way they're an actual lock at this moment is if they win the SECCG. Without that, there are all sorts of scenarios that could still happen. If Michigan State wins the title game, maybe the committee slides defending national champions OSU in on the strength of a narrow loss to a play-off team away from being undefeated. Or UNC upsets Clemson and the committee decides both teams look good enough. It's even possible they'd put in a 2 loss Stanford in the 4th slot if Bama doesn't make the SECCG, especially if UF were to beat OM a second time, hurting Bama's SOS. It's quite possible Bama would still make the field of 4 anyway, but it would by no means be a lock under certain scenarios. The committee has already made it clear how much they value conference championship games.

Valid points.

I think there are a lot more ways they get into the playoffs not playing this weekend. The committee has them at 2, dropping them out for not playing would be extreme IMO

Oh, certainly. My objection isn't to them having a good chance to get in even without an SECCG appearance. I was just objecting to the 'lock' part. The committee isn't as beholden to recent history as the polls were (as evidenced by TCU dropping last year even with a win in the final week) and that can make waiting for the final rankings of the regular season a bit nerve-wracking.

You're probably bound for the Music City Bowl, which isn't a "shite bowl," IMO.

Nashville is a cool place.
