I don't think Sumlin would be attracted to the Cowboys opening. If his stock is as high as people say it is he is going to want control of the personnel like Chip Kelly and Petey have

While I personally don't think he's leaving any time soon, it's not unreasonable to ask the same question he gotta be asking himself, which is how much is he willing to risk his stock dropping in a few years. He's in the SEC-W. There's no guarantee he'll be able to maintain his current hot streak, and a couple mediocre seasons could kill his stock quicker than an exploding tire recall.

Hopefully he doesn't have a loser mentality like this

It wouldn't surprise me if Michigan can't get a Harbaugh, then they could go after ole Butch Jones. He was born in Michigan, and he coached there off and on for 10 years. Butch could be their plan B.

Has Jones proven enough to Michigan yet, though? I mean, this could very well be Hoke 2.0 for them. Jones has energized the UTK fanbase, sure, but they had very little to be excited about with DooDoo. We still know very little about Jones as an actual gameday coach at a big-time program.

Jones could very well be Dabo Swinney - a great recruiter and cheerleader that has to surround himself with highly regarded assistants in order to be successful. That's not a knock on Jones, either. Swinney has done well with that schtick in Clemson. But wouldn't Michigan want something a little more proven than this?
