If I was 43-0 as a starter in HS with multiple state championships, while watching the starting QB throw pick sixes and miss 20 consecutive throws, and when I do get into the game I'm running mostly obvious rushing/option plays then yanked the next series..... I think I would be a prima Donna too.

Is that a yes? What did he do?

What exactly is going in College Station? A QB controversy is always a bad thing, let alone this far into the season.

When I got in the car yesterday, some Aggie beat writer was on Fbum saying Sumlin had made Murray and his family promises about playing time (or at least the chance for PT) during recruiting and they didn't feel those were being honored - which led to the alleged cuss-fest between Murray and coaches during the Bama game.

At this point, I think it is pretty likely that either Murray or Allen (or maybe even both) pulls a Kenny Hill after the season is over.

Plus if your coach has made certain um...concessions to said recruit during the recruiting process, you might want to do what is necessary to make sure the relationship is stable and your high-maintenance recruit doesn't go out into the world yapping about you.

I feel for Aggie nation - we were stuck in the gutter last year as well

How does this affect Kyle Allen's Heisman chances?

It's the same thing that happened last year....

In the top ten and loses back to back ranked games to drop out of the AP poll after quarterback starts struggling

What a dumpster fire 2 years in a row @ QB over there

Kenny Hill given the boot mid-season now trying to give Kyle Allen the boot mid-season in back to back years

They lose two games and the world is falling apart?

If they ever want to be a serious player in CFB, they need consistency from week to week and year to year.

Letting pressure of a poor performance getting the best of the coaches is a sign that the coaches don't have the "it" factor to win it all.

Losing those two games is nothing compared to the pressure that comes when you make it to the end of the season and you are sitting there undefeated and have a legit shot at a national title.

We have many teams fold under that pressure - West Virginia, Oklahoma State, Oregon......and that is just recent years.

Murray I think is starting.

As far as what he did, word is he cussed out Spavital during the Bama game and didn't handle the loss well. So was in a bit of trouble for that. Nothing big.

Actually,he might just fit in perfectly at AU. Zone read and scrambling QB would work in Gus's offense

I agree. Kyler Murray should transfer to Auburn.

If a coach starts letting a wet behind the ears 18 yr old start dictating who plays, and allow him to act like a punk, then the coach may as well quit. What happens in HS is thrown out the window the minute a kid hits college campus.

Just from watching their games, Murray would be shown every time Allen fricked up. And every time, you'd see Murray smiling like a smug little fricktard while one of the receivers would walk up to him and be like "you got this bro." He'd reply back like "I know" or some shite like that. There's clearly a divide in the locker room just based on the shite I've seen from their sidelines this season, going back as early as the Arizona State game.

TAMU's problem isn't the QB, it's the coaching. This is from Saturday night. I lost a dime on those frickers and I expect the coaching staff to be awake. This guy was yawning to start the 3rd qtr after they had their arse handed to them in the first half. Sumlin should have had them breathing fire coming out of the 2nd half. But no, this a-hole is having trouble staying awake.

This is what happens when you've been telling recruits anything they want to hear and making promises just to gain their commitment, and it starts to blow up in your face when you can't honor it.

What's the longest career of any QB who has started under Sumlin at ATM? Two seasons? Has any QB post Manziel began and finished a season as the starter?
