I don't think our starting WRs will be as good as last season, but they will be good. Assuming we won't have a rash of injuries, our QB, OL, and RBs will all be good. We'll be fine and Mauk will be fine. There's no need to write Mizzou off my fellow SEC fans.

I think you're assuming that I'm saying he's crappy, which is not at all what I'm saying.
But I think people need to look beyond the 11 TD, 2 INT stat as the reason why he's going to be such a good QB next year, given that most of that production happened against 3 teams that were a combined 11-25 if you count Florida too, where he also played a pretty good game.

That being said, he will be more experienced next season and be able to lead as the #1 QB. I think his completion % will finish closer to 60%. I also liked what I saw in the Cotton Bowl in regard to Maty's rushing abilities.

I just posted the stats because I thought it would generate some discussion. Of course, as a fan of a SEC east team, this discussion is interesting to me because UF plays Missouri every year now.

Uf dropped at least 2 easy INT's in that game. It was painful. Of course, they did that all of last year, not just against Mizzou.

Florida had the #7 pass defense in the country, surrendering 171 yards per game, and Mauk went for 295. South Carolina had the #12 pass defense, giving up 196 ypg, and Mauk went for 249.
