During Mark Ingram's Heisman winning season, he had a November stumble very similar to Fournette's stumble vs Bama. Ingram ran for 30 yards on 16 attempts vs Auburn that year.

Fournette's still got this

Ingram is on another level though

Maybe the best back in the history of the SEC

But his team won the game and he rushed for over 100 yards and 3 TDs in the SEC Championship Game the next week. He also had close to 100 receiving yards in the title game.

Fournette has 3 games to save his campaign. He's actually got a better chance to do so than Ingram did.

Funny-- at least once a week on the rant I'm told that Mark was the least deserving Heisman winner of the past decade.

Now after LF was shut down, that the purple and gold spin is being applied and postitive comparisons are being made to Mark in an attempt to salvage Buga's Heisman hopes? Truly pathetic

It's not spinning

It's using facts to point out that one poor game isn't enough to declare Fournette out of the race.

Henry's season is much more similar to Ingram. Henry is in the Heisman driver seat.

Oh, I know. But Henry also has a chance over these next three games (with a possible fourth against Florida).

Absolutely. Henry is in the drivers seat right now, but LF is not out of it by any means. Neither is Boykin.

Is Henry really even in the drivers seat? I don't think his stats are good enough.

I know Ingram won in 09, but who else were you gonna give it to? Stanford rb or McCoy?

I was at the game and LF7 was running like a possessed man on fire. Unfortunately his line was not giving him any holes through which to run. I don't think any less of him after this game whatsoever and if he was a top candidate for Heisman at 6:59 pm yesterday he should still be one today.

In all honestly if the heisman went to the best player suh would have won it in 09 and Ragland would win it this year

He might be. It certainly helped that Boykin laid an egg yesterday as well.

But that kid from Stanford has been a lot of peoples #3 for the last few weeks.

I think so. His stats are good enough and his "heisman moment" came in a bigger game than LF's, so far.

If Fournette goes off in the final three games he will probably win it though.

He's got over 1,250 yards rushing through nine games and has scored 17 touchdowns. And he's averaging near 6 yards per carry. He also matters more to this version of Alabama then Ingram did to the '09 version of Alabama.
