This is a good post with good replies. FWIW, many of give all the right reasons for LSU's underachieving performances this season.

So, since several LSU fans agree with me, what do yall purpose needs to be done to fix it to save the season.

IMO if you keep this up yall will lose to Bama, Georgia, Florida and probably one, maybe two more.

Either you

1. Did not really watch the game

or

2. Want to misrepresent that Miss St was not gifted that opportunity in the first place.

To tell the truth, I don't remember how they got in the position to score with a minute left to take the lead. I had to bounce back and forth cause the bama game started with about four minutes left in the LSU game. I don't know what you mean by they were gifted, if you mean lsu screwed up, then that's part of the game.

The fact is MSU, was on the number 7 team's one foot line in place to take the lead with a minute left. And had two attempts to do so.

The game should have never been that close. Would you like to debate that?

My whole point by posting that was to respond to the person who acted like they had nothing to worry about because they were #4 and give an example of why LSU has something to worry about.

People have been putting it out there as if LSU caught all these breaks to escape with the win. The fact is the punter/holder had three unforced errors that even made it close. I understand it is part of the game, but people need to realize LSU snatched back the game they had basically gifted Miss St. It wasn't a case where LSU was bailed out when they really deserved to lose. Miss St was about to win the game mostly off of LSU unforced errors of one ridiculous player from an odd position.

Not playing with any heart, intensity, passion.

They have seemed very flat and just seem to be going through the motions, like they are doing just enough to win, but not trying to dominate.

Great opinion natider. I think lsu hasn't been playing with passion and intensity. It was like that last year too until they faced uga, florida, auburn, and bama. Especially against bama. Some teams get excited when they face ranked teams with similar talent. Lsu didn't care about the miss state game, did you see them getting ready to take the field, no excitement or jumping around. Same could be said for the lsu sideline a chad Jones took the punt back for a td. I counted 5 lsu players jumping up and down on that return. If I don't see any excitement this weekend at uga, revoke their schollys and give me some players want to play. Those are the ones that can beat anyone on any day despite talent. Look at 2008 ole miss, always jumping up and down. Its about the hunger

I hope you are right about seeing a different team against Georgia. I was listening to Les Miles on the radio and he doesn't think there is a problem with the offensive line or the runningbacks. I don't know what F'n game he is watching!!! I see heart and passion on the defensive side of the ball....but the offensive is pathetic with the exception of jordan, terrance, and jojo. We need to use Russel Shepard more, get Dickson more involved, and for god sake stop trying to run out of the shotgun with charles scott. I haven't seen very many misdirection plays, reverses, off tackle runs. If Miles truly believes there is not a problem with our backs or OL then Gary Crowton is to blame for not using his personnel the proper way. THE end

For some reason, I think we see a different team against UGA

I would not be surprised either. We have pretty much owned LSU in recent history and that's bound to change. Seems like we have been a primary target for most of the teams we have played so far this season.

We beat Okie St. at our house and they were obviously up to return the favor in Stillwater. We got by SC in a typical UGA vs SC slugfest and SC seemed determined to embarrass us at home again; only a valiant stand by our defense in the red zone saved the day. We bested ASU in Tempe and they gave us all we could stand in Athens. Only a superman effort by AJ Green snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. I fully expect the Bengal Tigers to come to town with revenge in mind. Should be another SEC classic.

They racked up a good chunk of yards hanging around the middle of the field. The three interceptions were forced or technically pointless. I am just saying there was a 8-11 point swing due to unforced errors by LSU(two dropped holds on basically guaranteed kicks, the punter missing a snap then running to the one and falling down instead of throwing it out the endzone). Miss St did not have such directly obvious unforced errors.

There are a number of problems, but one underlining problem we fail to talk about is LSU isn't closing the door on opponents. Far too often this year LSU is kicking field goals (and not getting tds) therefore keeping the opponent in the game.

RED ZONE OFFENSE is a big issue.
