If you have lived on the coast for over 200 years in Amercan history...maybe try preparing for these types of scenerios.

These things happen.

Quit bitching to every one when these type of things happen.

We have had more Thunderstorms in the past that could make Matthew look like a tropical bitch. It is just a "Rain Storm".

We get them all the time from April to November.

Ivan wrecked shite all the way up here in the NW corner. Knocked a tree thru my SO parents house, my power was out for a few days, trees down...

Lots of extended power outages and trees down.

I packed a bag and went to Tuscaloosa for the weekend and watched a shitty game. Western Carolina or some shite.

It was just mostly trees down that cut power. Everyone freaked out though.

I cranked my generator up, cut those trees, and had a lovely 3 days away from work.

Cell phones, text messages and Facebook were just beginning back then.

I miss those days when people were no longer "attention-seeking media whores".

They are really ruining the game right now.

And it's adding to a drop in attendance. Even the ones that DO attend are too busy on their damn phones.

That is really a problem for us all.

This generation is incredibly spoiled.

why is the Florida game this year any different?

Pre-Katrina

Post 05 every LSU fan is an expert.

USC experienced it last year. UF fans experienced it this year. Any fan of an SEC school will experience it if their school deals with hurricanes/flooding the week they face LSU.

eta- hence the phrase "stiff dew"

Mobile Alabama is 30 miles from the Gulf, and Baton Rouge is 90 miles, Auburn is 180

Gainesville is 70

The closest katrina ever got to Baton Rouge was 80 miles. And we went without power for days.

I'm just puzzled why you used an example where LSU fans were correct to talk shite. If
You would have just put the UF game in your post I would have agreed with you.

Maybe just trying to fix your city that is 20 feet below sea-level.

The Dutch and Germans have mastered this.

Why can't you?

This is becoming embarrassing to America.
