Both teams are on the edge of having a good season.

The Cheetahs seem to have settled on their QB, and he has been pretty good. It is a big game to determine the season success of each team.

The Hogs are developing a winning mindset. I think they win another close one.

If so, the Guster will be back on the hot seat.

If the Cheetahs win, CBB will receive some harsh message board bashing, but not be on the hot seat.

I think Gus' job is safe this year. I think next year things could get ugly for him on the plains. Just my opinion.

Gus Bus lose, he'll be on the hot seat again.
7-5 with losses coming to Ole Piss and a skull dragging from Bama.

Hogs lose, still on their way to a 9-3 record

It would not be a deal breaker, hell this is the Wild West where any team not named Alabama could lose any weekend.

Does either coach move towards the hot seat, or, if you think a coach is already on the hot seat, how hot does his seat get with a loss?

I think it's a much bigger game for Auburn because of the one in-conference loss to A&M. Arky is basically not in the running for the West because two losses in the SEC and with Bama, LSU, A&M, and Auburn ahead of them means they can't catch the pack. Auburn needs to have only one conference loss going in to the Iron Bowl if they have any chance of winning the West.

You mean to tell me that Auburn is still in the West race but Arkansas is pretty much already out of it? Shocker

All that really tells us is that we played Bama first

Non for either coach. There's not a surplus of coaches ATM.

I say Gus has gained a few games from hot seat, due to wins over LSU and MSU.
A loss to Arkansas, coupled with a loss to Ole Miss, he'll be right back on the hot seat.
Bert seems to be hot seat proof.

All of this

Fixed.. It tells me, that it's just another year in the life of a razorback and that you haven't come close to competing for anything, yet again, living in mediocrity.

Bert's seat is always hot due to his big, fat, sweaty, greasy arse

Your right finishing last in the West is a better example of competing

If Arkansas were to lose, the Hog fan reaction would be one of disappointment, but largely any anger would be based on HOW we lost. We go down there and totally shite the bed, yeah, there might be a little grumbling. If we play decent and lose to the Auburn luck (see: LSU game), we won't be angry. We know there's a lot of improvement and depth needed in spots on this team, and to take those issues on the road and lose a close one in the SEC West would not ruin the season.

That said, Gus will pull out all the stops as this is his personal Super Bowl. CBB knows that. We know that.

Humiliation and calls for heads to roll for the loser. If Arky wins, they'll be back on this board telling us that the win signals a new era of Arkansas dominance in the SEC. If Auburn wins they'll take the W without too much fanfare or celebration.
