What do Winston, Manuel, Ponder and Jamarcus all have in common?

He is Gus Malzahn. Dude has to have a QB like cam or Winston and that is rare. Miles is better against saban that this clown. I pray Jimbo comes to LSU if they fire Miles, it will be a joke. I also hope he brings Muschamp, have you seen what Saban has done to Muschamps's defenses in the past. LOL

Please tell us why.

Because he's not that good of a coach.

At FSU since 2007, head coach there since 2010.

Could not compete with UF until Meyer started palpitating and then Muschamp showed up. He needed both UF and Miami at their lowest in decades to be a dominant team in FL, get a lion's share of the recruits, and move into a national title game - which he then was dependent on Gus being Gus in order to win it.

Even FSU fans have been embarrassed by how he's handled player discipline.

If he leaves, he will have averaged about 11 wins per year, being in the worst P5 conference, the conference having produced one national title during his tenure of 6 years, with his two biggest rivals in the tank for 2/3 of the times he played them.

Les will have averaged about 10 wins per year, in the toughest conference in FBS, sharing the division with the best coach over the past 8 years or so, with Bama at a zenith with Saban, in a conference producing 7 national titles in his 11 year tenure, and 5 of those 7 titles coming from the division in which he coaches.

Les has stepped up and answered the bell for you LSU fans for over a decade, and he's been a pretty good guy at the same time. And in return, over the course of 3 weeks the entire LSU fan base has turned on him.

$30mill for buyouts of Les, staff, Jimbo, and to reset the staff etc.

Drop down in quality of coach.

Stellar move.
