I'm just pointing out what Vegas thinks. Do they know? I'll say they have a much more vested interest than blogosphere, namely their livelihood.

I didn't get to see the aTm game Saturday. At what point in the game did they kick onside?

Most sports book have not yet posted official lines for a lot of the games next weekend. On several sights you are seeing old data from last year. Typically the lines are fairly established across the various houses by noon Monday (once all but the MNF NFL games are completed).

In other news most sites in their NCAA Futures show JFF and Marcus Mariota as co-favorites to win the Heisman this year.

actually offshore posts on Sunday afternoons and Vegas generally follows them at this point rather than the other way around.

But relax, they are just trolling. The lines up are obviously an error and they won't post them til there is news on Allen. When's he's declared out look for it to open in the 17-20 point range.

They would be my picks. Right now anyway.

I really liked Gurley before this weekend. UGA's inability to run against UNT pretty much took him off the board as that's the kind of game he needs to rack up stats. But Mariota is going to lose votes to DAT and Manziel will lose votes because people hate him. So I still like a darkhorse to win.

JFF might have better stats than last year. Hard to tell. If Oregon keeps cranking out 60 point games, even as good as DAT is, it'll be hard not to give Mariotta his due.

JFF is NOT winning the Heisman again. No way, Jose.

definitely, he's an awesome player. But most of the country hasn't seen him yet. He needs to blow the doors off of UW, UCLA, and Stanford. Otherwise he's going to be given the system label.

He can't be average in those games because he, and Oregon frankly, seem to decimate average teams every year but when they play good teams they look decidedly average (LSU in '11, Stanford in '12). That's my perception at least. DAT is a better player IMO but it seems only QBs can win any more.

You know that A&M hasn't shut out an opponent in over 9 years, right?

Last shutout was 31-0 vs. Wyoming in the 2004 season home opener.

I agree, but they appeared to have improved this week. SMU's offense is better than SHSU's and probably Rice's and we only allowed one TD, even playing backups in the 2nd half. We're still cellar dwellers statistically because of the first few games, but MAYBE we're improving a little on defense.

TAMU's run defense is still terrible and Arkansas has a pretty good front four. I still say they lose, but they'll put up 28-35 points. I say the win is more like 45-35 Tamu's favor.
