Evening all. Hate to bring heaviness on Christmas Eve, but could use your prayers. Lost a close family friend today. Young guy - he was a police officer in a small town near me.
You'll see the story says it was a self-inflicted gunshot, but the medical examiner is telling the family he was in diabetic shock and was likely severely disoriented. There's nothing else that any of us know that would explain this.

To me, the draw of Auburn is more the town than the campus. Campus is OK, but the town is awesome. Samford and the quad are pretty, but every SEC school has something similar. There really is a different attitude that most people in Auburn have. I know bamma people love making fun of it, but it is a different place, and the people are different.

I wore an LSU shirt the Monday after LSU beat Alabama last year, but I can't think of any other time I've worn LSU gear.
My first year there (I'm a sophomore) I wore a decent amount of AU gear, but now the only AU thing I wear is my jacket.
Most of my friends know that I'm an LSU fan, but most of them have known me since high school. It makes it fun and the friendly banter creates good discussion.
