Neither did my parents until they started buying the mix and making them at home. The recipe calls for the mix to be 50% rum. So, they are really fricking strong.
When I was 13 my parents made some one night and while my dad and I were putting music on my iPod I kept sipping from his hurricane. I ended up drinking most of it. Ended up with a horrible hangover the next day.

Up until a few months ago I drove a truck that was older than I was.
We have a refrigerator older than I am. Most of our furniture is older than I am (a good bit is probably older than my parents). We don't get rid of shite in my family.
