Ole Miss athletics has been trapped in the "good ole boy" network syndrome for decades until recently...We've had AD's who sucked at their jobs and only had them because they were part of the group...Warner Alford, Pete Boone.....hell, we hired Houston Nutt and Ed Oregron....that is all that needs to be said...and we've struggled because of it. they lived on the success of the Vaught years for decades while the rest of the SEC was moving forward......Ross Bjork has completely changed the mindset and appears to have us headed in the right direction......but, yeah, we have sucked for a generation because of the "good ole boy" network

Well I mean...the sugar bowl isn't what it once was...unless its the playoff. You beat us...congrats...but you had 3 losses, and got destroyed by Florida, then got manhandled by fricking Memphis. Personally I would be pretty depressed I mean y'all have realistically fielded some of the most impressive talent over the last 3 years that has ever been at Ole Miss and have yet to win the SECW, but hey that his just me.

I'll take the trajectory. We won two games in the last year of Houston Nutt, and our wins since then have been 7, 8, 9 and 10 in successive years.
Arkansas and Tennessee fans love to talk about how bad their coach's situation was when they took over, but it's hard to match what Freeze had to face. There was no accountability on the team he left, lots of academic issues and just some unsavory characters. Now, look where we're headed.
Also, it's not like the 2013 class was the only top class that'll come through Oxford. The last two years have been good, not great, but 2016 figures to be top five or top ten.
As an LSU fan, I'm sure you can appreciate how we're feeling with Freeze right now after the years of Orgeron and Nutt. It's how a lot of y'all felt after Saban got to the Bayou after the disasters of the 80s and 90s.
