I don't expose myself uncalculated. I'm excited for the bumps. As you'll see in my sig quote, I'll hang on to the good ones that I bait in.

You do know you're on the Orgeron bus, correct?

He absolutely is. He's the best defensive coordinator, not named Nick Saban, LSU has had in my lifetime. When he leaves, LSU would be lucky to get someone as good within 20-25 years.

Yeah and 3 years ago you all were posting similar things about Chavis

I wasn't. Chavis was very good, but not at the level of Aranda. I always said about Chavis, he'll give you defenses commensurate with the talent level on any give team. Aranda has the ability to make defenses look better than their talent level. He's on another level cerebrally, which is why he will be an NFL DC sooner than I would like.

You're not allowed to do that here.. You get lumped in with everyone else.

This thread is a fine example.

Orgeron actually is a very good DC and while he may be the HC now, I'm pretty sure he has his hands in that. I doubt the coaches will complain learning from a proven defensive mind. I also think he will stay out of the OC way. I think he learned from experience (much of which cost him in the past as HC) to let the offensive coaches run the ship on that side of the ball. This could be Orgeron's coming out party.

Not saying he will win the west or the conference but I dare say I believe Lsu will be pretty damn good this year. We shall see.

Ok technically you are right but he's been LB and DL coach and has the praise within the football world of being great on that side of the ball.

Again, this is team specific. I'm not saying he is once in a generation for college football. I seriously doubt LSU would get someone on his level within the next decade or two. Those guys don't grow on trees. LSU will probably get someone very good, but not on his level. Point being, the last time LSU had a defensive mind as good or better than Aranda on the sideline was Nick Saban 13 years ago and he wasn't even a coordinator.

I honestly don't think everyone that has responded saw the throws he was making. Regardless, so long as the offensive line holds up, there's great depth at every position. If the win total isn't 10+, it's evident a change will need to be made at HC.

Making all those "impressive throws" in a conference that doesn't play defense. I won't be impressed with Stidham until I see him prove himself in a real conference. Sorry, that's just the way it is.

JS is 3 levels better than any QB we have had since 2014. We won 7 games and 8 games playing kids who couldn't start anywhere at a Power 5 school. Our best QB compliment was he was gritty and accurate...we might as well have said he is average to below average.

The oline should be considered a weak spot. The D is way better than that crap show we had in 2014. 9-11 wins should be expected. If the line comes along on O then it could be one of those years.

Because of the 2 assistants that work below him, they're going to make him look very good.

And I still say Miss State had you beat until that last play of the game. Even with Cam, we gave you fits. For the life of me I will never understand why coaches forget what got us there and go into a soft zone prevent defense in the last minute. Auburn did what they should have and marched down the field. I am still beside myself over that.

Why? It's been much longer since you've beaten Auburn than it has Bama

Florida shouldn't want either of us.
Is this what delusional looks like? Yes, yes it is.

I'm really having trouble processing this. Did I really get asked why I'd rather have Auburn as an opponent than Bama? Did that really happen?
