I was most impressed with the follow through.

1. he didn't just go for a big hit.
2. he wrapped up.
3. he elevated Dobbs' legs leading to
4. a crushing hit with the ground and then landing on the QB.

Two hits in one action. It was absolutely textbook.

Exactly. His feet are firmly planted in the ground. If a defensive player doesn't use his legs when tackling he would be run over every time. It was a good, clean hit.

Yeah. I saw it last night and the kid could have driven Dobbs into the ground with his shoulder, but didn't. It could have been MUCH worse. It still hurt, though!

I don't even understand how someone could be upset over that tackle- it was a thing of beauty.

I think the defender finishes the action by driving Dobbs to the ground. He took the legs out and basically body slammed Dobbs down.

It was a brutal hit with a brutal follow through.

I had to listen to it on Vol radio, they didn't discuss the hit at all

But the announcers did sound like they were one step away from suicide most of the night.

You A&M fans probably won't know what I'm talking about, but it looked like the Patrick Willis tackle against LSU in 2005. The only positive for OM fans to come from that game.

Damn Dobbs sucks

U do know that against a runner you can lead with your helmet right? It is against a defenseless player like a WR or a QB in the pocket where you can not lead with the helmet when you are hitting him above the neck. Damn you one stupid corn dawg. or is it coonass

Are they? :27 left after a play with a TO out left and couldn't even get a FG attempt. Their coach will get to take that TO home as a souvenir

Was indeed a tackle you share over and over with your players about proper and ideal tackling form.

yep, and App State will use that film to teach their players how to tackle for many years to come. I'm tired of all of these silly contact rules. Football is going to be a game with violent collisions. It was designed that way and that's why girls don't play it. Injuries are a risk every football player is willing to take. Sorry about the ribs Dobbs, suck it up you got Va Tech next week. I mean as bad as he is, he is still Butch's best qb or he wouldn't be starting.

#10 totally Cam Newton'd that ball.

Jalen Hurd is much further away from the ball and is the one that ended up recovering the fumble.

Stopped it too soon, missed the part right after that where the App player steps on his kneecap. That's why they wanted OT you know - to inflict more pain!
