If your team was about to hire a new coach, would you rather Saban or Harbaugh?

Was having this discussion just now and I argued that due to age difference, I would go with Harbaugh. Maybe I'm biased as a Niner fan but I'd rather 20 years of JH than the 5 years or so Saban probably has left in the tank.

If no Nick Saban I'd got to the NFL and hire whoever ran New England's offense last year

I'd take Saban just because he's proven in the SEC.

I think Hargaugh is the best coach though.

They should have hired Derek Dooley.

Very tough choice. If you have a situation that is ready made to win (team coming off a 9 or 10 win season) I'd say Saban for sure. If a program needs to be built and there's a ton of work to do I might go with Harbaugh. For A&M I would have gone with Saban I think

As a 30 year Niners fan, I say Harbaugh if you're talking NFL. In collefge, I take Saban.

Two different games and both are coaching at the levels which they are better suited for. At least that is the way I see it based on their results thus far.

definitely Harbaugh...

He took a team that only won one game the year before he took over at Stanford and turned them into a top 5 program. He took an NFL team that hadn't made the playoffs in years and got them there his first year. He took a shitty NFL QB and turned him into a winner.

Saban couldn't win in the NFL and hasn't proven he could win at a shitty program the way Harbaugh has.

I say this because of the age of Saban. I know he can build programs, but if you are a Vandy type team I'd go with Harbaugh. Not sure Saban has 5 or 6 years of building in him now at his age.

The only correct answer is Saban in college and Harbaugh in the NFL.

I don't think Harbaugh or Saban could succeed in a Vandy type situation, no matter how much time they have.

One hit wonder or not, I don't think anyone can compare right now in terms of developing QBs. He's unbelievable in that respect
