If we don't know something by tonight, I will assume this was guesswork by 247.

The move is usually made pretty quick once a name is out there, if it's real.

If not, you get names floated here and there for a month.

Well, you can add Football Scoop in that mix. They usually get the inside scoop on what is happening.

Blake Baker has no shortage of ties to Louisiana and already owns a previous career stop at LSU. Brian Kelly and the Tigers are trying to persuade Baker for another run on the Bayou, multiple sources tell FootballScoop.

Why does a Kentucky fan want to have a dog in this “fight” ?

Still triggered over that beatdown on Saturday night in October ?

You’re assuming he’s actually being considered and it’s not just his agent floating his name out there to get Mizzou to pay more.

This is the only sensible post you’ve made. Congrats.

Wolfhound, you are correct. Mizzou isn't bad business, but lots of coonasses can't accept it.

Yet, 90% of the responses to your troll post say exactly the opposite. You are the one who cant except you didn't get the response you so desperately went fishing for.

That's because it's slack-shoulder to shoulder un here with coonasses. I wonder what kind of response we'll see to that?

How dare I think my school has a good chance at retaining our coach?

If that were to be the case, I think there’s too many variables, most unknown, to draw much conclusions from it.

He has kids… they may want to stay where their friends are etc…. There’s a lot more to it than money.

That you are correct due to it being an LSU website?

And the responses you got to your troll post said exactly that, which seems to have disappointed you for some reason. Much like the troll name calling with the coonass references. Sure. I am oh so deeply offended.

Better food and less crime in CoMo than BR too. Also no hurricanes, cleaner and fresher air, better schools for his children, smarter locals, etc. Would take a lot of $ to draw Baker away IMO

It would mean he values job security more than national championships

LSU made a big mistake not hiring him 2 years ago. With their offense and a Baker defense they would probably have won the SEC and be in the playoff this year.

Hope he’s pissed at Kelly for not hiring him and his relationship with Drink keeps him at Mizzou.

I will concede the crime rate and Hurricanes, but the food?????????? Come on, nothing says great cuisine like CoMo???? Really. You must not travel out of the state of Missouri to often.

Good point. What does it say about the SEC that full membership was granted to MIZZOU.

It says We already had a big six.
We needed cupcakes….not more blue bloods, you dope.
We added mizzybilt and aggy. Zero sec champs between them.

Big ten got the same idea and added Rutgers and Maryland.

I wouldn't get too worked up over it. If you had followed any of our coaching searches under our current AD you would know that there are no leaks coming from LSU with regard to the coaching search. Whatever sources these sites have are probably agents, and the Baton Rouge media will eat it up because Baker has a prior connection to LSU and Louisiana. I'm not saying I wouldn't like to have Baker, but I'd almost be willing to bet money that the actual hire will be someone completely off the radar.
