Only potential changes obvious I see:

2002: Miami
2003: LSU, but would be hell of game v USC
2004: maybe Auburn?
2006: LSU was so hot
2009: McCoy injury could have changed everything
2011: LSU/Bama 50/50
2013: Any of the 4 could have won

I didn't start following CFB until going off to college so I'll start with 08:

08: UF (but against Bama in rematch)
09: Bama
10: Auburn
11: Alabama
12: Bama (but against Oregon)
13: Bama (but against Michigan State)

Would UF have went in 2012? Hasn't the playoff committee already said that they won't be taking conference championship games into consideration unless it is a tie breaker for two teams? Wouldn't UGA have been in over UF if the current system was in place? They'd both be 11-1 regular season w/ UGA having the head to head victory.

I'm not trying to screw with you because I'm a UGA fan and you're a UF, I'm just genuinely curious because I don't know exactly how the playoff committee will treat situations like that and 2012 SEC East is the particular situation that I'm most familiar with.

Our resume was better.

So much talent on both sides of the ball and on the sidelines.

Mich St. vs. Bama and I see Michigan State rolling bama hard.

Just like they rolled Stanford hard. Not sure if serious. Alabama wasn't bad enough to get rolled by anyone last season.

That's not really the issue at hand. We won the division and beat you head to head. It's not our fault that we drew a shitty AU team and average OM team from the West. The question I'm more asking is would the playoff committee even take that into consideration since we won the division and the head to head. I ask because there is undoubtedly going to be some pissed off fan base in the future and I really don't know how it would have been handled in this case.

Also, it's a rather large crock we wouldn't have been there in 2007, but not nearly as much BS as 2012.

Nobody was stoppin that Florida train in '08 after the Ole Miss game. Nobody.

Side not: I wish we could have somehow played Georgia again that year in like a playoff game, though. That rushing the end zone bullshite still annoys me to this day. Thankfully Meyer is a jerk and used up the timeouts as we marched down the field at the end of the game in '08.

Really? I guess I'm on the other side of it, but does it really bother you still? It was almost 7 full years ago and you won the next two in blowout fashion.

I would be much more concerned about the last 3 games.

Not saying they would of won, but it would of been great to see a playoff that year, to see if LSU was as good at the end of the year, as we thought.

Actually if that's the case then 2011 Bama is out as well.

I could support that. Bama being national champions that year when they split with LSU and didn't win their division is a load of manure. All UGA heard from Herby as we dropped from 2nd to 6th in the polls in '07 (after a win, nonetheless) was "if you don't win your division/conference, then you can't play for the national title." This was the year after he lobbied hard for a Mich/OSU rematch.

I'd agree, and honestly it'd be one thing if LSU had won in OT in Death Valley at Night, but they went to Tuscaloosa and won on the road, that should have been it.
