They won the game, it was over, no reason to make that call. The refs finally got it right. No team should lose that way and I doubt any team would want to win that way either.

I actually agree with this.

Meh, Lincoln would have missed the rekick anyway.

He made a chip shot earlier, it would have been roughly the same distance as the kick he made.

So if the Ball passes the LOS and the dude Dropkicks someone in the face, its 1st and 25?

how is it any different than, say, an INT that has been downed and a guy rips his helmet off

The game was over when the field goal was blocked essentially. No reason to penalize Cody under that circumstance and the refs did the right thing in not doing so.

When the ball is "downed", the play is over. That's the difference. The play was clearly not over.

A team that is very similar to LSU? Inept on offense, and a good defense. Both teams have problems at QB too.

Should be one for the ages.

The ball had NOT been downed. It was well before that when fatty tore his hat off and shot-putted it half way to the locker room.

The game was not "over" when the kick was blocked. If you're arguing that refs should have selectively chosen to ignore an obvious violation of the rules, then I might agree. At least call it what it was: A penalty that, under the rules, should have been called and resulted in another field goal attempt for Tennessee that was fifteen yards closer.

Pretty sure it was a third down FG try. They would have gotten another kick on a dead ball penalty.

Actually it's a re-kick. Thanks for trying.

No. Alabama recoverd a ball that passed the line of scrimmage. Alabama gets ball with a 1st and 25 with no time remaining. Had UT recovered the ball behind the line of scrimmage its a re-kick.

Maybe Tennessee should field a kicking team that can get the ball out of their backfield

Or are you saying Tennessee lost the game because Cody took off his helm?

Or im assuming some of you are claiming that Cody rushed through the line, blocked the kick, rand 10 yard and took off his helmet within 4 seconds?

Some of you guys are pathetic.

There is no extension of a period for an USC. Only live ball fouls not treated as dead ball fouls....which is how USC's are treated.
